MILSET Asia Honors Kuwaiti Student Houra Al-Sharif and Announces the Statistical Analysis of Expo-Sciences Asia
The MILSET Asia Regional Office announced that Kuwaiti student Houra Al-Sharif has won the “Ulzhan” Prize, awarded by MILSET Asia to outstanding female students in recognition of their contributions to science and volunteer work in its scientific expos. She received the award for her exceptional performance during the 7th Expo-Sciences Asia (ESA), which was organized virtually by MILSET Asia via live streaming in November, with the participation of 33 Asian countries and representatives from other continents.
The Regional Director of MILSET Asia, Dawood Al-Ahmed, stated that Muna Al-Salem, General Science Supervisor for Computer Studies, presented the award to Houra Al-Sharif, acknowledging her efforts, excellence, and role in raising Kuwait’s flag in this international event, standing out among a large gathering of young participants.
Statistical Analysis of the 7th Expo-Sciences Asia
Al-Ahmed presented the statistical analysis of the 7th Expo-Sciences Asia, explaining that its three-day agenda included:
- Day 1:
- Official speeches from MILSET Global and MILSET Asia officials.
- A video presentation showcasing previous editions of Expo-Sciences Asia and the virtual launch of the exhibition.
- A scientific lecture by Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa from Kuwait University.
- A scientific lecture by Suaresh Batari from the Nepal Astronomical Society.
- Day 2:
- Two workshops by Kuwaiti engineers from the Ministry of Electricity and Water:
- Sulaiman Al-Khaldi and Israa Abdullah.
- A YCC workshop by Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Yaqout and Dr. Israa Al-Issa from MILSET Mexico.
- Two workshops by Kuwaiti engineers from the Ministry of Electricity and Water:
- Day 3:
- A lecture by Dr. Fawaz Al-Qurayan on hydroponic agriculture.
- A lecture by Dr. Ashraf Radwan on data security.
- A scientific workshop by Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa on AI command formulation.
Key Statistics from the 7th Expo-Sciences Asia
Al-Ahmed highlighted the main statistics from the event:
- 2.4 million young people were reached via Facebook, generating 37,600 interactions, with 37,000 visitors clicking on the registration link.
- 2.189 million were reached via Instagram, resulting in 12,794 interactions, and 8,850 visits to the registration link.
- The expo hosted 934 student participants and 373 supervisors, showcasing 481 scientific projects and research studies.
- 91,143 visitors accessed the expo’s official website
