The 18th Kuwait School Competition for Industrial Applications for the 2024–2025 academic year began on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, organized by the MILSET Asia Regional Office in collaboration with the Practical Studies Supervision Department at the Ministry of Education.
Key Highlights:
- Final Stage: 102 students from 34 intermediate boys’ schools across all educational regions are competing in two categories:
- Measurement Skills
- Hand Tool and Mechanical Assembly Skills
- MILSET Asia’s Goal: The competition aims to identify and nurture young innovators in science and technology, preparing them to represent Kuwait on a global level.
- Support & Collaboration: The event is held under the patronage of Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, Maryam Al-Enezi, with strong support from the General Supervision of Practical Studies.
- Competition Objectives:
- Enhance students’ technical skills and hands-on craftsmanship.
- Promote applied activities in schools and effective use of free time in technology.
- Instill local manufacturing culture and technological self-reliance.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration among students.
- Comprehensive Training: The competition includes multiple competitive rounds, hands-on workshops, scientific lectures, and intensive training programs to develop students’ creativity and abilities in science and technology.
This competition represents a significant step in empowering Kuwait’s youth and preparing them for future innovation and leadership in the technological field.
