المنظمة العالمية لاستثمار أوقات الفراغ بالعلوم والتكنولوجيا ملست آسيا In collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s General Technical Supervision for Practical Studies, held an orientation session on Monday, Oct 21, 2024, for the 18th Annual Industrial Applications Competition.
The session was attended by 34 teachers representing 34 boys’ schools from across Kuwait’s governorates. This orientation marks the first phase of the competition, a landmark initiative held annually since 2006.
The meeting opened with a presentation on MILSET Asia’s regional programming, followed by a detailed briefing on the 2024/2025 competition’s objectives and selection criteria. The technical assessment is divided into two core categories:

Engineering Measurement: Testing student precision in measuring wooden geometric models.

Mechanical Proficiency: Evaluating skills in the assembly and disassembly of eco-friendly lawnmowers using manual tools.
Following a technical Q&A session, participating teachers received training models to prepare student teams within their respective schools. Final school teams will be selected to compete in the main event scheduled for Nov 13, 2024.
