Kuwaiti Delegation Participates in Global Robotics and AI Competition in Doha

The Kuwaiti school delegation for robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence returned to Kuwait after participating in the Global AI, Programming, and Robotics Competition held in Doha, Qatar, on May 16 and 17, 2025. The event brought together over 250 schools from more than 20 countries and focused on innovation, sustainability, and the development of technical skills among students aged 7 to 18.

The Kuwaiti delegation consisted of eight elementary school students who presented four robots named Sakhr, Al-Ojairi, Boubyan, and Al-Mubarakiya, inspired by Kuwait’s cultural and geographical identity.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa, President of MILSET Asia and head of the Kuwaiti delegation, spoke during the closing ceremony, emphasizing the importance of Kuwait’s participation as a contribution to promoting innovation and youth involvement in science and technology.

He noted that the experience was conducted in collaboration with parents, who were involved in the students’ training process and accompanied them during the trip.

This participation aligns with preparations for the 19th MILSET Expo-Sciences International (ESI 2025), scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from September 27 to November 3, 2025. Registration is open until July 31 via the official website esi2025.ae, for participants aged 9 to 25.
